ABBY KOFFLER (Producer) With 25 years experience as an Arts Presenter in South Florida, this is the first time out for Abby as a Producer. Abby met Steve five years ago while he was doing stand-up comedy. After many lunches and long talks, they became good friends. Recognizing Steve’s enormous potential and his ability to do more with his talent, she prodded him to work with her to create a vehicle that would better showcase those abilities and, as Steve remembers it, she gave him only two hours to come up with a title for it. Together they created the title and the concept of My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish & I’m in Therapy! After over four years, a lot of hard work, and a very successful road tour, their dream of presenting the show in New York has come alive! Abby would like to thank Rodger Hess for “teaching me everything I needed to know about Broadway producing,” John Loesser for his invaluable friendship, and a very special thank you to her husband, Ben, for dealing with it “all.” Abby and Howard Rapp, principals of I’m In Therapy, Inc., continue to manage Steve’s career.
HOWARD RAPP & ARNOLD GRAHAM (Producers) are principals of Charles Rapp Enterprises, a New York-based entertainment planning organization which was founded in 1935 by Charlie Rapp. Charlie made his mark by developing new talent and booking shows for more than 100 resort hotels which flourished during the pre- and post-World War II years in the Catskill Mountains. Charlie Rapp is credited with helping to develop the careers of Milton Berle, Jackie Mason, Jan Murray, Red Buttons, Neil Sedaka, Norm Crosby, Sid Caesar and many others. Howard Rapp joined the company full-time in 1969 after working every summer since his 13th birthday. Arnold Graham joined in 1970 after working many years with his father, Sam, in the entertainment business. After the death of Charlie Rapp in 1974, Howard and Arnold took charge and together they have brought the company into the modern era of show business, helping to develop the careers of new talent such as Robert Klein, David Brenner, Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, Paul Reiser, Arsenio Hall, Jay Leno and many more. They are also credited with bringing first-time appearances in the Catskill Mountains area for such stars as George Burns, Bob Hope and Nell Carter.
